Windows Mail

 

The following is a walk-through for setting up Windows Mail. Windows Mail (and Windows Live Mail) are the predecessors of Microsoft's older e-mail client.


How to Setup a New Account in Windows Mail

In Windows Mail, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts. Next, click on the add button in the upper-right. In the "Select Account Type" window, double-click on "E-mail Account".


Display Name: (as you wish) Email Address: (xxxx@domain.com)

My incoming mail server is a [POP3] Server.


Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, HTTP) server: [yourdomain.com]


Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: [yourdomain.com]


Account Name: e-mail address


Password: as appropriate (your e-mail account password)

Log in Using Secure Password Authentication is NOT checked.

Click 'Next' and 'Finished'
